Monday 10th March 7.30pm Ramada Jarvis Hotel. Mr Phil Ward, Leeds City Conservation Officer, will give an illustrated talk on his work to protect and conserve areas of historic and architectural heritage. 3.00 Pay on entry. Light refreshments.
Tuesday 8th April & Wednesday 23rd April 6.15pm Ribston Hall, Kirk Deighton There has been a house on this site since Doomsday. The present hall was rebuilt in 1674 and is still in private ownership. Collections of china and Chippendale furniture. 10.00  
Tuesday 20th May 2.00pm Marton Mill, Pool-in-Wharfedale A working, weaving mill manufacturing a wide range of fabrics. Tour of all processes. 3.00  
Thursday 19th June 7.30pm George Smith Gardens, The Manor House, Heslington, nr. York Tour of House and three acre walled garden followed by an illustrated talk. 7.50 Includes light refreshments and glass of wine.
Thursday 10th July 2.00pm The Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle Guided tour of one of the best collections of European fine and decorative art in the North of England 6.50. 5.50 concessions Museum shop and restaurant.
Wednesday 17th September 6.30pm Fairfax House, York Guided tour of the 1762 John Carr town house built as a dowry for Anne Fairfax, the only surviving child of Visount Fairfax. Now holds the Noel Terry collection of English furniture and clocks 6.50  

Society Annual General Meeting November 2008. The AGM of the Society will be held on a date and venue to be arranged.
