Sunday 23 July 2pm Aldi Supermarket Come along to the unveiling of the blue plaque to commemorate the centenary of the birth of "Ginger" Lacey, the fighter pilot ace. A Spitfire, a Hurricane and a Lancaster will fly over (subject to cloud cover). Free  
Saturday 9 September 2p.m - 4p.m   Come and see two of Wetherby's hidden treasure: The Georgian Bathhouse and the Art Deco Council Offices. Free  
Sunday 22 October 11am - 12:30pm Starting at the Bandstand A guided town centre walk discovering the places of architectural and historical interest that have made Wetherby a unique and charming Market Town. Free

Tuesday 25th April 2:30pm Selby Abbey A guided tour of this Abbey, which expert Simon Jenkins grades as 5* and says is “subordinate only to Beverly Minster and York Minster among the giants of Yorkshire” followed by afternoon tea. £6  
Wednesday 17th May 10:30am Hainsworth Mill Tour, Stanningley, Leeds Join us for a guided tour of this integrated woollen mill which takes in sheep’s wool and through many processes, including carding, spinning, dyeing and weaving, ends up with specialist woollen cloth. The mill has been home to the company since the early 1800s £5  
Thursday 22nd June 2pm Aldborough Roman Site and Village Guided tour of the Roman town site, including remains of the walls and well preserved mosaics, followed by afternoon tea and tour of the village. £7  
Tuesday 18th July 2pm Adel Church and York Gate Gardens A guided tour of this Norman church (Simon Jenkins 2*) followed by a visit to the adjacent York Gate Gardens where a cream tea will be served in the course of the visit. £11  
Thursday 17th August 2:30pm Council Chamber, Wetherby Civic Offices Summer Talk - The Great Sale of Wetherby – 1824 by Victor Hawkins followed by cake and cold drinks £5  
Tuesday 12th September 2pm Goldsborough Hall and Church Guided tour of the Church of St Mary the Virgin, a mediaeval Grade 1 listed church followed by guided tour of Goldsborough Hall, a fine 17th century mansion, remodelled in the 18th Century by Robert Adam and John Carr, which was the home of King George V’s daughter, Princess Mary, before they inherited Harewood House. The afternoon finishes with a cream tea. £18  

Society Annual General Meeting

Thursday 12th October is the date for the AGM at 7.30pm. Followed by a talk - speaker to be confirmed. The venue is the Wetherby and District Social Club on Sandbeck Way
