2021 PROGRAMME

Due to Covid 19, we have had to put together a truncated season of events this year. Nearer the time, we shall contact you to confirm that you would like to attend and to make payment. If the event has to be cancelled because of Covid restrictions (or any other reason), we shall inform you of this.

Leeds Discovery Centre, Leeds

A talk and tour of the storage facility for Leeds Museums and Galleries. To include artefacts from the Wattle Syke excavation. Includes tea/coffee and biscuits.

Tour at 2pm. £7.00 per person

Summer Talk

“Studley Royal, Hackfall and their place in the 18th Century landscape gardening” – Louise Wickham

followed by cake and cold drinks

At the Council Chamber, Wetherby Civic Offices 2.30pm. £5.00 per person (Visitors £6.00)

Wednesday 15 September

Leeds Minster

A guided tour of the church of St Peter-at-Leeds, which contains a decorated sanctuary area which has memorials from previous sites, including the “Leeds Cross”.  Tea/coffee and biscuits

Tour at 2.30p.m. £15.00 per person

Sunday 19 September

Guided Town Walk

A guided walk around the centre of town identitifying some of the facinating landmarks that speak of the history and formation of Wetherby. This walk is part of the Heritage Open Days Programme.

Gather at the Bandstand 2pm – Free and open to all – 90 minutes

Wednesday 29th September 

Allerton Waste Recovery Park

A presentation and tour of the plant, including the mechanical treatment hall. Due to restrictions, this event has been rescheduled from July

Tours at 10am. and 2pm. £5.00 per person

Sunday 3 October

Guided Town Walk
