“SPOFFORTH PARK: Community Power and the Estate’s Evolution” by Malcolm Gardner

Wednesday 9 April – Thirsk Hall
A guided tour of this Grade 2* listed manor house, dating from 1720, with an opportunity to wander around the gardens afterwards.

Tuesday 20 May – Newburgh Priory
A guided tour of this Grade 1 listed building, near Coxwold. Built on the former site of an Augustinian priory, the present house was built in the late 16th century. Opportunity to visit the grounds afterwards.
Tea/coffee and biscuits included.

A guided walking tour of Ripon.

A visit to the H.W. Martin plant, which is responsible for dealing with our recyclable waste.

“DISCOVERIES IN BOSTON SPA: Geology and Archaeology” by Malcolm Barnes.
At the Council Chamber, Wetherby Municipal Offices at 2-30p.m. Followed by cake and cold drinks.

A guided tour of this country house, located near Aberford, once owned by the Gascoigne family and now owned by Leeds City Council.
